Committed to its responsible operation and the goal of sustainable hospitality, Mitsis’ corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, ‘A story of change’, is built upon 5 key thematic pillars. These pillars exemplify the Group’s values and aspiration to act as a role model for sustainable tourism development in the country. This is done through contributing 5% of its annual net profit to social and philanthropic initiatives.

Committed To Our Surroundings

With a notable presence across Greece, Mitsis recognises that its growth and progress are inextricably linked to the prosperity of the 5 unique destinations where it operates. The Group empowers local communities by focusing on local recruitment, aiming for 75% of its employees to be permanent residents of its destinations by 2025, and it supports the local primary sector by providing over 15 million euros annually to 140 local producers and suppliers. Mitsis proudly sponsors local events and actively supports local residents in times of crisis, by offering financial or in-kind support to victims of earthquakes, fires and other natural disasters affecting its destinations. It also collaborates with distinguished NGOs, including its long-standing partnerships with Make-A-Wish Greece, Ark of the World, and HOPEgenesis. With the establishment of the Blood Donor Volunteer Association ‘Mitsis Group of Companies’ with the participation of its employees and guests makes a valuable contribution to the blood banks of its destinations.

Mitsis makes the most of its impeccable Greek essence and embodies the values of Mediterranean life, culture and history. The Group aims to revive tradition by highlighting the historical sites and monuments of its destinations, sponsoring local cultural events, and encouraging the participation of its employees and visitors. Through its distinguished F&B outlet and procurement policy, it aims to showcase local gastronomy and expose its guests to traditional local culinary flavours. Simultaneously, the Group collaborates with Marketing Greece to upgrade the qualitative aspects of Greek tourism and promote the country as an enticing destination.
