Boat trips

When in Rhodes, a boat trip around the island or the beautiful neighbor islands is a must-do experience for every visitor. From the pastel island gem Symi to the picturesque and small Chalki, get ready to set sail and discover incredible spots and hidden beaches.

Symi Island

Rhodes is a strong contender, but Symi gets the vote when it comes to a boat trip. It only takes a 1-hour ferry ride and you will be in one of the most picturesque harbors in the country, crowded with pastel-colored houses, lots of bars and restaurants and little streets. The tiny turquoise beaches are also a highlight. The island is noted more for peace and tranquility as well as the high temperatures during the summer months.

Chalki Island

Situated around 6km to the west of the island of Rhodes, Chalki is the smallest inhabited island of the Dodecanese. Tiny in the eye, but great in natural beauty. The only town is Nimporio, a picturesque place that surrounds the main port of the island. There are daily local ferries to Halki from the small port of Ancient Kamiros in Rhodes. In case you are fond of long walks and secluded beaches, this is the place for you.
